Kali's Kitchen
This project is a living miracle. I met Baba in 2018. We were both broke and hungry. Through networking and our powerful community we have fed thousands of people in the heart of India, worked with Hundreds of families in massive weeks long projects and bought dresses for 600+ Village girls. Kali's Kitchen is a spark in the forest of Maha Maya in Bilaspur. It was created as a beacon of hope during the time of the Covid Darkness.
Born to a Brahman family, Baba Muni never liked the cast system and as a boy, loved to play with Shutra caste kids, also known as untouchables. When they told him he couldn't play with those kids he ran away from his home to Kashi, Varanasi, the oldest city on earth. Hungry and alone he sought refuge in the burning places and was taken in by an Israeli tourist, taught english and music. When he was 13 he took initiation and began his life long journey of intense TAPAS, or severe austerity. He spent 6 years in silence, has gone 6 months with no food only drinking river water trained in the Himalayas and across all of India. A successful medicine man and Ayurvedic master and alchemist. When the world locked down in 2020 he refused to be restricted and wandered across states, eventually returning to his hometown. Now, nesting on his anscestral land he is working with SaiSaiPro to create a center of peace, education, and sustenance.
This excerpt is from the local news paper taking note of the ripple effects. This particular feeding was to commemorate the full moon in July, aka Gurupurnima (the moon of the master). During this special time teachers are honored and exalted to be as important as mothers and fathers in the society. Its the time we travel to India every year. Kali's Kitchen is located in a remote region in the heart of India aka not a tourist zone so our first group journey to Kali's Kitchen in summer of 2024 caught the attention of local media. It is quite unusual to see 'foreigners' in this district. In this picture from left to right Bo, founder of Soul Enterprise, Madhav Muni, of SKKD, and Sage Gyaneshwar, Co-Founder and CEO of Kali's kitchen
Cofounder Gyani has spearheaded fundraising and marketing efforts for Kali's Kitchen aswell as been a chief investor sponsor and onsite manager. A whole hearted deep gratitude to Gyani who we have to thank for establishing the electric well, electric generator, windows, a concrete patio, our first and second tumeric harvests and the general maintanence of the Kitchen.
